Cacti Hunt

So, I tweeted Alan Carr ages ago about the white cacti on his set for his show. He is obviously trying to convince the producers to send them to me, can’t find decent bubble wrap or just had no idea what I was talking about.

Dwell (other dwell) magazine arrived this morning and I had a flip through the 100’s of rad couches and found them practically begging me to buy them as they’re only like £15 each. Mine. Yours? Oh Alan…

Wear it or Not?

I know there are probably rules against this…but I love it. It looks like she’s morphing into a sparkly Leopard. (Kourtney is by far my favorite Kardashian.) Today, I’m totally going to wear the leopard leggings my Mom gave me.

P.s. Thanks for Ryan’s Birthday comments on the post before this one. Ryan and I went out to a romantic dinner. We ate delicious fancy food and I embarrassed him by telling our server it was his birthday. You know what happens next. I know he secretly loved it (not). I even caught him making a wish before he blew out the candle.

Wear it or Not?

More dresses with detachable capes please! I haven’t shopped or browsed much online for clothing. It’s probably for the best, I mean, look at those dresses. I just want to be able to say “excuse me, you’re stepping on my cape.”

Romantic Rings

I absolutely love my engagement ring and wedding band. They are two of the most precious pieces of jewellery I have. But every time I see Cathy Waterman rings I pretty much fall in love with them and make up stories in my head about the lady who would pass the rings down generation after generation. The styles are endless but the price is pretty insane especially because I lose everything. I’m so glad my rings are tiny and will never ever be slipping off of these fingers.

Here is a little list of what I’ve been lovin lately:

x How to practice Yoga in a taxi – also good for on a plane, not getting off your butt on that couch or at work.
x I really want to try this wackadoo hairstyle. If only I knew how to do a french braid. One step at a time.
x I’d love to have this storage setup in our bedroom. We have no closet and it drives me insane.
x Really cute and comfy workout wear…to inspire me? Go shirt knots!
x I found the shoes I used to wear when I was elementary school.

Visit Wales

I’ve never been to Wales but these simple adverts (and their font) are really winning me over. Tell me what it’s reeeeally like.

**UPDATE** So apparently this is a real family and you can watch longer versions of the video/commercials above, here. Still good. Ryan says don’t believe it but I’m thinkin, I’m sold. I totally want to sleep in a yurt.

For the salad freaks

I have a feeling there are going to be lots of salads being made today as it’s the first day of the week in the New Year. Here is one of my favorite salads and I’ve just made the dressing and popped it in the fridge for later.

Easy Peasy Honey & Lime Vinaigrette
4 teaspoons lime juice
2 teaspoons honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 dash cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Whisk together lime juice, honey, cayenne pepper and salt. Add oil and whisk until blended. Cover and pop it in the fridge for up to two days. Whisk again before chowing down.

For the salad I just toss dried cranberries, walnuts and goats cheese over spinach leaves. Maybe you’ve tried it before with a strawberry vinaigrette or balsamic, yum.

It may not be the healthiest salad in the world and I’ve never been one to count calories, in fact I wouldn’t even know where to start with all that stuff. I just know that if it’s green, fresh, or colorful – it’s probably good for you. Eat away.

Bed Envy

Amazing, amazing bedroom. I think I really just love the headboard or whatever they used as the headboard. Maybe a room divider? I need to start doing OCD the karate chop to my pillows to make it look a bit more glamorous!

New Year’s Eve

Above is our good friend Michelle and the lower photo is my husband, Ryan – who is looking at his watch thinkin “it’s time to go”. I had just watched the second Grey Gardens film so I was all about dressing up, dancing and having a graaand time. I ended up with lipstick on because our lovely cross dressing friend said it was Jean Paul Gaultier so I had to try it.
