Visual
This is what I want my next dream to look like. I’m over crazy wedding nightmares, crazy swimming lions and tigers, and the Kardashian sisters always up to no good!
This song is by Empire of the Sun (and isn’t the actual video). I’ve played it way out and am now currently hooked on another song, Without You. I was going to post that video but it won’t allow me. You can watch it *here* but if Perez Hilton in the movie The Cell doesn’t appeal to you then I wouldn’t suggest watching it. Ok so it doesn’t really appeal to me either but it’s a good song.

Suntastic Saturday
Today was so pretty out that we bought this little bad boy, our first real barbeque. I left Ryan outside with a beer to do some manly BBQ building while I chopped away in the kitchen.
The best first real bbq ever. No more bar-be-quick instant barbeques. We even talked about getting a gas bbq one day *gasp*. Yeah, we’re crazy.
It was a good day! Tomorrow will be filled with tons of shopping, a hair trial and dinner with friends.

D&G
Kinda funny our last name initials are D&G. Here’s what our D&G wedding might look like if I planned it as fast as I wrote this post. (20 minutes.)![]()

There are my bridesmaids, running away from the bouquet. And every guest will get a D&G keyring.
Cheesetasic.

A good hair day.
Finally, a good haircut. I am happier than a dog eating ice cream. I’m keeping it longer for the wedding and after we’re back home and less stressed it will be chopped off and way way short.
I’m still working on the playlist. It’ll just have to be submitted late. Don’t care, but must get it done.
So many good songs, so little time!
If you’d like to help-a-Katie out please comment with a song that will get your wedding cake eating butt off the chair and onto the dance floor. It may already be on the 200 song list. I listen to some dance-ish music. But most of my life I’ve been told the music I listen to is crap. Whatever though, I enjoy it by myself and that’s all that matters. It would be nice to know someone that also listened to the same singers and bands that I do but my taste is so spread out that it would be impossible. I’m not too cool or anything… it’s just “weird” (good) music.
I’m making the list a little more mainstream so that people don’t make too many weird staring into the air faces when our songs come on. I probably wont even notice what song is playing on the day. I’ll be busy shmoozing and being a brand new wife.
A few get up off your ass and dance songs already on the playlist are:
Chromeo – Fancy Footwork
Dizzee Rascal – Dirtee Disco
Jamiroquai– Seven Days in Sunny June
Le Tigre – Deceptacon
Michael Jackson – Don’t Stop ‘Till You Get Enough
Filthy Dukes – This Rythem
Bee Gees – Night Fever
Felix Da Housecat - Ready 2 Wear (thanks to my brother)

Progress, I guess. Part - who cares!
K, so my dress is in surgery (getting altered). I’ve bought some lovely shoes. My hair is booked and Ryan just ordered his ring. Oh my god, I’m scaring myself. Am I actually getting things done?!
The next list for this week:
- finish diy projects to take to Ryan’s parents house this weekend (we have no more room in this place!)
-finish playlist (by tomorrow!?!)

Progress, I guess. Part - 12i,329,000
So we’ve only got around 20 major things to do before the wedding. It’ll be one month (tomorrow) until the big day. I feel like I’m way too relaxed than I should be (atm). Our place is a wreck. There is crap everywhere. I’ve got lots of unfinished projects laying around. So basically I need to snap out of it and get things done. I’m hoping one day I’ll just wake up and the wedding fairy would have just done it all for me.
Top 3 things I should probably be freaking out about:
- buy shoes
- book hair stylist
- buy ring for Ryan
Ryan, I’m sorry the shoes came before your ring. The list is in no particular order… or something.
MUST GET UP OFF BUTT NOW.

Mother’s Day
Mom and Dad in their 20’s on the boat she helped her family build. Mom is a mother of seven kids and owns an awesome antique shop in Washington which is going to be filmed in a commercial soon.
So excited for her to come to England. She has never been and hasn’t even met Ryan yet!
Happy Mother’s Day!

Sunday Lovely Sunday

Dress is fiiiinaaalllyyy here. Yes! That’s the only peek you get (no, it isn’t wearing a leather jacket but that totally sounds like something I would consider). Fits perfectly aside from the chest area and unless I get a major boob job in the next few weeks – it isn’t happening. Must get it altered soon (dress not boobs)
Ryan brought a basil plant home.
Birthday flowers are dying but I still keep them around.
Ryan was cleaning out his “work stuff” and finds goggles, birthday candle inside french connection wallet box, two packs of cards or decks whatever and Michael Jackson’s Thriller single cassette tape.
I turned into an Oompa Loompa when I bought my moisturizer with a “light” bronzer in it. Even my nails are tinted, yuck.
Treated myself to a strawberry mask.
Spent the entire day in my red heart pajamas and had fish n’ chips for dinner. It was a good Sunday. I’m going to go make some cheesecake.
